The first things I read (see Building a Discipling Culture) emphasized that the effectiveness of a pastor does not come from the pastor's natural and developed skills nor from the amount of time and dedication the pastor gives, but it comes from humility, relationships and rest. The visibility, access and modeling of the pastor's personal life is more effective than the eloquence of the pastor's words. It is easy to find eloquence (liked on FaceBook). It is hard to find transparency that walks the talks and admits the mistakes and struggles.
Here are the people with whom I am deeply bonded. They are the ones God has given and called me to love, care and nurture and to receive their love, care and nurturing - deeply!
